Curriculum
We follow what we call our Enhanced Curriculum because we embed therapy into an educational programme based on the National Curriculum. Our enhanced curriculum includes regular, timetabled opportunities to enrich learning, both inside and outside of the classroom. This approach allows our pupils to regulate themselves and tackle their studies at their own pace as required.

Curriculum Overview
We aim to provide a broad curriculum that enables all pupils to achieve academically, as well as explore new and exciting avenues for learning.
To this end, our curriculum comprises both traditional core subjects (English, Maths, Science, IT, PE, and Humanities) as well as other, more unique opportunities designed to broaden our pupils’ horizons.
A key feature of our curriculum is the emphasis we place on Personal Development and Life Skills. This area of learning is a golden thread which runs through not only our curriculum but also through our therapeutic approach and our enrichment activities. Often referred to as PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economics education), we believe that an understanding of age-appropriate personal development is a fundamental entitlement for our pupils as we support their emotional wellbeing and personal growth to make and sustain friendships, become more self-aware and prepared for life outside of Leith Hill.
